The Beckhams went out for dinner in London this week to celebrate David’s 48th birthday, and their chosen looks had a touch of the old school Posh and Becks about them. Think leather (David), sky-high hemlines (Victoria), and black-out sunglasses.
Little black dresses have always been Victoria’s style signature, and she wore a mini blazer dress from her brand’s upcoming autumn/winter 2023 collection, which has a boxy, oversized fit, statement shoulders and white stitch detailing. Victoria laughed about that outing in a recent conversation with British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, revealing that the outfits that helped to propel the couple to fame were actually something of a fashion faux pas. “Myself and David turning up to a Versace event in matching Gucci leather! Wearing the wrong stuff, but owning it,” said VB. “Back then I didn’t know any better, I didn’t know the fashion industry, and so there was something so sweet and naive about the fact that I didn’t care, I just expressed myself in that way.”
