Fashionistas won’t get caught with their pants down next season – they’ll be wearing seriously sexy hold-up stockings to make sure of it!
That’s right, the Eighties accessory-staple of stockings have been sighted at a fancy, open-air catwalk presentation in Italy this weekend. Italian designer Francesca Liberatore showed her sheer and lacy stockings with tiny micro-minis with cropped leather jackets in recent days.
The trend was also spotted at Milan Fashion Week a few weeks ago – and it’s not just Italian models and designers going gaga for the seriously sexy stockings look.

Celebrity model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and songstress Rita Ora have also been papped very recently flaunting their slim thighs in stockings. Huntington-Whiteley proved the thighs the limit when she wore hers to Milan Fashion Week and styled sexy, white stockings with a white blazer and tiny box-bag.

You couldn’t make out if she was wearing a skirt of dress under her blazer – only her thighs and stockings were visible. Meanwhile, Rita Ora was seen on the streets of New York looking like a naughty St Trinian’s school girl last month.
On this occasion, she sported with over-the-knee stockings in black. Always ahead of the fash-pack, Rita styled hers with black biker boots, a jacket and a plain white T-shirt.
The trend for stockings is good news for bargain hunters as you can update your look with a simple pair of stockings in a range of colours from just £6 at Marks and Spencer.
These sexy hold-ups available on the the high street are sheer with similar lacy tops to the ones shown at yesterday’s Italian designer Francesca Liberatore show. To complete the look simply team with a micro-mini and white shirt.
